In a previous article, you learned how to add the details of your clients and the client’s contact details to Pixie. In this article, you will learn how to: 

  • View Client/Contact details. 
  • Edit, or make changes, to Client/Contact details. 
  • Delete a Client or Contact entry. 
  • Export the Client/Contact details.

Viewing Client/Contact Details

Viewing Client/Contact details is a 2-step procedure:

  • Click the Clients icon in the sidebar menu.
  • Click the client entry in the client’s list.

Click the Clients icon in the sidebar menu. Pixie will show you the list of clients.

Click a client entry in the client list. Pixie will show you the details of that client.

TIP: To return to the Client list, once again click the Clients icon in the sidebar menu.

Editing Client/Contact Details

Editing, or making changes, to client details is a 2-step procedure:

  • View the client details as described above.
  • Select Edit client or Edit contact from the More Options menu.

NOTE: To edit the client details, click the More Options icon next to the client’s name. Likewise, to edit a contact's details, click the More Options icon next to the contact's name.

Deleting a Client/Contact Entry

Deleting a client/contact entry is a 2-step procedure:

  • View the client details as described above.
  • Select Delete client or Delete contact from the More Options menu.

Click the Confirm button to delete the client entry.

Exporting Client/Contact Details

In the eventuality of a client making a GDPR request to you, you can export all their Pixie related data using the Export client function. 

The data included in the export is:

  • All client/contact details including custom field values
  • All email correspondence tracked in Pixie
  • All files related to the client
  • All notes related to the client

Exporting client/contact details is a 3-step procedure:

  • View the client details as described above.
  • Select Export data from the More Options menu.
  • Save the generated .zip file somewhere on your computer

NOTE: To export client data, click the More Options icon next to the client’s name. To export a contact’s details, click the More Options icon next to the contact’s name.

Pixie will export the data to a set of .csv files and put them in a .zip file. Save the .zip file on your computer.

Conclusion

Pixie allows you to easily manage your client and client’s contact details. You can view the details, make changes to the details, and delete a client or contact entry. You can also export the client/contact details to your computer as a backup. If you delete a client or contact entry by mistake, you can easily import it back into Pixie using these exported details.
